92 chevy c1500 700r4 trans i bought the truck cheap cause the guy thought the trans was bad i pulled the trans down and found out the flywheel was broke so the pump shaft wasnt spinning i replaced the flywheel reinstalled the trans put some good fluid in it and it worked fine through all grears until it was warm the warmer it got the worse it got started out slipping when going into drive then eventually wouldnt move but as i let it sit for a little bit it started going into gear again ... any ideas on this i reset the tv cable to factory set. i was gonna wait till morning and see if it will go through the gears fine when its completely cooled down but any ideas would be appreciated
odds are, the filter is probably plugging up. bad news is, if that be the case, then, either the converter clutch is gone, or you have internal damage which has left sediment and thats whats causing the filter to plug up and quit pulling.
either way, the guy you got the truck off of is probably right about the trans.
