700R4 compatibility
I have a Chevy 89 S-10 700R4 Transmission and am trying to find out if I can put it into 95 Blazer 4.3 4WD. The two transmissions appear Identical, but what are the differences. Can I bolt a 2wd Trans into the 4wd transfer case?

Quote:
no. the 95 vehicle uses a 4L60E trans. Large round electrical plug on passenger side above the pan rail. The 89 trans will install in place of a 4L60E trans.... but the system will set trouble codes . Custom work will over come that problem a 2WD trans must have the 4x4 out put shaft installed
