700r4 ? for Crosley or other tranny xpert

I just put a 700r4 into my v8 s10. Its in and ready to go except for the lockup kit. My auto parts store forgot to order it for me and it won't be in till Tuesday. The problem is I need to drive it to work Sunday and Monday Etc. Is there any way to make it lock up Manually for these two days till my kit comes in. If it helps i got it from a 93 s10 with a 4.3.
Thanks
John Moore

if memorey serves me correctly, you can wire it to a toggle switch to operate the lockup, I don`t know which terminal is positive and negative, however, i`m sure someone knows or it`s avalible on the web, you can run it without the lockup if you have a heavy duty external tranny cooler, which is a good idea anyways, I wouldn`t run it without the lockup if your using the stock cooler, too much heat build up and the tranny would be cooked.

I looked around on the web and found which one to wire the positive wire to but could not find which one to ground. I tryed it without a ground (hoping it was self grounded) and test drove it and it felt the same as having nothing wired. I have trouble keeping this beast cooled as it is so i won't chance running without.
Thanks

Cool

two options,

run the tranny in 3rd gear, it will be fine for a while.

the position A is for 12 volts the position D is for a ground.

On the square case connector the front outter hole is A..... right behind it is D

Thanks Crosley. I am gonna test it first thing in the morning. How can you tell if it is locking up or not?
