I have th700 on my C10 and after the rear gear change to lower gears...
i would want the tranny to shift earlier 3->2 .... saying, around corners i would prefer downshift on higher speed than now. Now the truck speed must slow down quite a much before shift down to 2nd, and staying at 3rd around a corner the performace feels sluggish and rpms are against the TC stall. Otherwise the tranny behaves acceptable.
I studied the VB setup and found 3-2 valve and spring.
Now, is this 3-2 spring the one to be modified? Should the spring be softer or harder for earlier 3-2 shifts? Shimms or cut the spring? Approx how much shimming or cutting for just a 5-10mph earlier downshift?
