700r4 forward clutch pack

OK frist time rebuilding a transmission. what order should the forward clutch plates go in>? I have read theres alot of diffent ways they can go. I have a 4x4 s-10 blazer cpi 4.3. Its a 92.

also what kind of clearance should I have? I only have like .008 So I got something in wrong i think. Also should it matter on how they came out I mean if I stack them the way the kit came it should be ok right?

you need at least .040 clearance in the forward pack.

I would not accept the kit had the frictions in correct order. You never know who packed the items

You need a manual with a diagram to explain the correct stack up. It is difficult to put into words clearly. I'll look for a photo.

You may have the frictions & related parts installed incorrectly or the thickness of the frictions you recieved may be incorrect.

well the kit didnt come with a waved plate. I looked at the old steels and mic them at .090 and thats the same as the new ones. the Waved steel that I reused is .070. from bottom up its I have it like this
1.overrun piston
2.steel
3.clutch
4.steel
5.clutch

then
6.apply plate
7.wavedplate
8.steel.
9.clutch
10.steel
11.clutch
12.steel
13.clutch
14.steel
15.clutch
16. backing plate.

everthing seems the same but its just not micing right.
