Question 700r4 lockup, 81 camaro

First off, I am very happy to be a new member of this board and most of the posts i do will be about an 81 camaro berlinetta that i recently acquired. I am doing a trans swap cause the T350 came apart on me and i have a 700 laying around the shop that im at, OK.......Will i still need to wire a lock-up switch if i replace a lock-up type 81' 350 turbo with a lock-up type 84' 700r4 out of a camaro, same 4 prong plug and all just wondering if i still need the lock-up switch kit. Thanks

Yes you do.First to keep the torque converter cool while in fourth gear, and second to save fuel while cruising.
