700r4 - No pressure change
Hi guys this is my first time posting on here and i'm hoping someone can give me some advice on my problem. I purchased the tv made easy setup for my 87 vet and the installation went fine...so i thought. It comes with a new tv cable, bracket, and spring for the valve body. With the car idling in park im at about 60 psi and when i pull the tv cable i get no change in pressure. i checked this in all gears as well. sooooo im thinking maybe the tv valve is stuck so again i took the pan back off and pulled out the tv plunger and spring and am able to easily move the tv valve. Maybe a clog???? i have no idea. prior to installing this kit it was fine.
Before i get into pulling the valve body off i wan't to see if someone could point me in the right direction thanks a million |

Yes I tried that & the pressure stays the same in any rpm. Maybe I didn't word my posting correctly, it's not that I have low pressure cause every gear in idle is reading the recommended pressure it's that when I pull on the tv cable I have no pressure rise. I just removed the valve body to clean thinking maybe I rattled some dirt loose when I changed the tv spring. But so far it looks clean as a whistle.

Well when I changed the spring I did it on the car. All you had to do was pull out the roll pin & then pull out the tv plunger & swap springs. It's driving me crazy cause I really didn't touch anything. & I did buy the correct gaskets but I didn't put the valve body back on yet I'm hoping to gather some insite on here before I have to take it off twice.

Has to be a problem with the T.V. or T.V. Plunger binding/sticking.
This is all you changed, correct? >> http://www.tvmadeez.com/spring_install/700r4.php |

Those are the exact steps I took. Now before removal of the VB I removed the pan & checked to make sure the plunger & spring were moving freely & that when The cable was pulled it was actually compressing the plunger. Then I reinstalled the pan & still no pressure rise when pulling the tv cable. So I removed the VB & can now see that the tv plunger, spring , & valve are all moving freely. I just don't understand what went wrong. Im not familiar with how this all works, is there something in combination with the tv valve that also needs to work to have pressure rise that I can check?

The TV 101 section expalins how the TV works, 3-Parts to this Article.
http://www.tvmadeez.com/article/index.php If the Pressure Regulator Valve, TV Boost & Low/Reverse Boost Valves are binding/sticking this could cause a problem. Pr. Reg. Valve http://www.sonnax.com/product-lines/...ion/parts/1798 Low/Reverse Boost http://www.sonnax.com/product-lines/...ion/parts/1792 TV Boost http://www.sonnax.com/product-lines/...ion/parts/1801 These 3 + Spring are in the same Bore, Driver side bottom of Pump. BTO's longer TV spring does position the TV Valve farther into the Bore, that's what I'm thinking may be binding. Part #302 TV Valve & #346 TV Boost spring can be seen here link below >> http://www.gnttype.org/techarea/tran...valvebody.html This is a 2004R Valvebody but the TV setup is the same. First off I just wanna thank everyone for the replies I really appreciate it. #302 & 346 were the first things I wanted to see binding when I took the VB off & they move fine. With the new BTO spring installed #302 will still rest on its roll pin (having full movement) As for the other pieces you showed me they are in the pump so I would assume That I couldn't of screwed them up right?

Alright I appreciate your help. I don't know if that's something I wanna tackle on my own of if it's something I could even do. I might just throw it back together & bring it to the tranny guy by me but either way I'll repost what the end result was & thanks again
