700r4 parts build suggestions

i have searched but i will ask for some options,i run a 454 with a towing cam, highrise daul plane with a q-jet in a 1962 gmc suburan.it will never see a dragstrip.that being said i do have a heavy foot. i will sometimes haul a small 17 foot camper.i have been using a junk yard 700r4 stock form for several years till it quit shifting. i have read the beast shell, corvette servo ,500psi piston and differant govenor.what parts do i need for a good heavy duty towing transmission.how about the valve body that keeps up the pressure sold at summitt. i have got cd video and a haynes manual.thanks ken

You have a start on a good list of parts.

You post " what parts do i need for a good heavy duty towing transmission"

A 700r4 trans is not really a heavy duty towing trans.

Do you know the combined weight of vehicle and trailer you plan on towing?

thanks for the reply. i think the suburan weights in at 4500 lbs and not sure of my camper it is a single axle 1967 shasta , i gues that i mean a transmission that cn surive behind the 454 , the trans i`am going to build i think is 1987 by the numbers stamped on the passenger side. i have been driveing this combo for several years with this junk yard trans. my local trans guys says i need a 400 but i sure like the over drive thanks
