700R4 problem

my used 700R4 will not go into any gears . All gears want to pull forward even park wants to pull but all other gears including neutral pull like they are in drive?

Check 'S' link on the manual valve in valve body. Might have came loose.

Or, fried forward clutch. (rebuild time)

You are the 4th person to tell me the same thing but i have yet to be where it is or what it looks like. If you could help with that it would be appreciated.

You'll have to drop the pan & check the linkage. Would be in top right area of this Pic, driver side front. Best Pics I could find.

I must be an idiot, your post confuses me.

You post the trans will not go into any gears , yet you also post the trnas wants to pull forward in all shifter positions.

The link inside the trnas for the manual valve is not an S shape ,it is straight with bent hook shapes on each end.

If the link is correctly hooked up , then I suspect the forward clutch pack is damaged if the used trans wants to move forward in all shifter positions

I was thinking TH350 on the 'S' link. It's the same basic part. Circled in photo. Straight line is the "link". I AM an idiot.
