700r4 wont shift

I have a 700r4 in my 1936 chevy truck it came out of a 1988 s-15 jimmy it has 5000 miles on it after rebuilt. I put a transgo 700 2&3 reprograming kit with a corvette servo piston in it. But it will not go into overdrive all the other gears are good and strong but it just wont shift to overdrive. If anyone would know anything about this it sure would help thanks.

I would suggest a visit on the shift kit for correct install... Check the valves in the v-body for easy movement ( not stuck)

Check the governor inner valve for free movement of the inner valve too.

IS the TV cable hooked up properly with correct settings?

Can you give us the MPH of 1,2,3 shifts?

Perhaps the rear gear of your '36 is higher than the donor truck. (numerically lower) Maybe the governor needs a stiffer spring and/or a heavier weight.

We went back through the valve body and went through step by step on the insallation a second time. And the rearend of the 36 is from the origina 88' jimmy we used i the entire back half so im pretty sure that all of the gearing and everything is correct.
