700r4 problems
I have a 91 chevy, 1500, 4x4. I just replaced transmission with a rebuilt 700r4, and I lost 2nd gear out of nowhere. All other gears work (reverse-overdrive) I was told that I should not have overdrive and that if I did that the transmission was junk. Is this true or can it be saved.

Usually 2 and 4 leave at the same time (2-4 band). Sometimes reverse also ( reaction shell).
