700r4 question
Hi. I have a stock 700R4 other than a TCI rebuild kit and B&M heavy duty rv shift kit.
IT shifts too soon for it's cuttrent application (lifted 4x4 with big tires and a low power 305. The gearing is good but the 305 is just tired. My question is, will it hurt the 700r4 to manually upshift it through the gears WHILE accelerating? Or should i let off the gas before upshifting? Thanks |

re: 700r4 question
Manually shifting second gear will add extra abuse from what I understand.
Can you adjust the TV cable tighter? or put new weights in the governor? and there is also a stiffer TV spring for the kickdown in the valvebody. |
