700r4 questions please help
Please help me guys i just rebuilt a 91 700r4 and the thing moves foward in all gears including park reverse and nuetral would too little clearance on the 2-4 band cause this problem? or maby check balls in the valve body and the case cause this? what do you guys think? all advise is needed

Sounds like the linkage isn't connected right cause the parking pawl would engage the gear and prevent it from going forward in park if it is working. I would check that first. Cheapest fix is always the best!!

I agree, sounds like something is going wrong between the selector and the box, are you running cable or solid link between the shifter and the trans.
Try disconecting the linkage at the trans end, then very carefully with someone (you trust)in the car with their foot on the brake. Move the selector manualy. Then see how the car responds. This will at least tell you if the problem is internal or in the linkage. Cheers Sandman
