700R4 Rattling Problem
Did a complete overhaul on a 700R4 in a 1992 full size Chev van. Everything was checked very closely and all of the components were within factory specs. Installed a rebuilt torque converter. The transmission worked perfect for about two weeks and then the other morning I started the van and it sounded like something was rattling in the front of the transmission. Almost sounds like something is rolling around in the flywheel cover. It has to be something in the transmission because my 1-2 and 3-4 shift points are way too high. Any ideas?
