I just swapped a 700r4 into an 87 monte carlo ss (200-4r originally) and running into slight problems. First of all 1-2 and 2-3 shifts are too early (4000-4500) would like to have it a lil faster maybe 5300-5400. Ive ran it to 5500 in 3rd but it wont shift till i let off the throttle, and as soon as i try 2 get back on it, it drops back to 3rd again! I got the tv cable adjusted right(i think) I'm not really much of a trans guy so any help is appreciated!

You're going to need a Governor Recalibration Kit to tune your shift points.
Most 700R4's wont do a WOT 3-4 shift & wont stay in 4th at high speed/high throttle angles, the T/A, Z28 & Corvette factory calibration does allow this.
TransGo, B&M etc.. make a Kit for WOT 3-4.

Update: just received a new tv sleeve and plunger to fix the full throttle shifting into 4th and will double check the tv cable adjustment before messing with the govenor
