700R4 Shifting problems

So this just started last time at the track. The tranny has fresh oil and was built for 600 Horsepower and have a shift kit installed with a B&M shifter.

So I launch and slam it into 2nd (No problems)
I hit 6200 rpms and I slam it into 3rd but it lags? like if i shift at 6.2k it wont shift til like 6.5k? like i have completely shifted and then it shifts.. hard to explain but I'm worried because its throwing my belt ever time due to the higher rpms then normal..

I havent had any other issues and isnt happening in anyother gears.. please help

Dane

Hi
is that a manual valve body? sounds like 2nd band is not released and drags while shifting into 3rd

Yeah if i leave it in "D" it'll shift thru all the gears and my Overdrive works aswell. When i get on it in "Drive" it "doesn't" go over 4500 rpms tho

Perhaps it's the TV cable adjustment.

It just started happening. Well if it was the TV cable wouldn't it happen in every gear?

When I was putting the fresh motor in, the dip stick came out so i ended up replacing the oils, and the guy that built it was running a weird combo of fuilds. like 3 merc and 2 ford or something like that. Never had an issue until i replaced the oils and about 5 times down the track it started acting up.
