no i dont have a transgo kit installed.just the vette servo and valve. i was looking at them at the local parts store, the b.m shift kit was like 45 bucks an the transpak was like 95 bucks, and had springs and stuff in it. which one do i need to really firm up the shifts nd possibly lengthen the shift pionts?.and are they fairly easy to install?with the tranny in the car?

TV Cable

I did this by taking an older TV cable and adjusting it in a little less than it would have gone at full throttle...only problem, at full throttle it auto-adjusts out. That's why I used the old cable and dropped some Krazy Glue on it when I found the adjustment. An old transmisison guy told me the hard shift is okay, a soft shift is fatal to a 700 R4.

That's what I did. It is a little more expensive, but it has great instructions and comes with a video that is worth is weight in gold (IMO).

You can get it at Summit. Click here to see it.

TransGo invented shift kits for automatics 5 decades ago. They have the trade mark on the term "shift kit".....

that is why B&M sells "shift improver" kits. Other companies cannot use the term "shift kit" .

I have used TransGo products for near 3 decades and I like them . You will be pleased with the performance.

I do not use or recommend B&M shift improver kits to any one. People use them and are happy. Mayb you will be too
