700r4 spring

i was taking out the valve body and other parts, going to install a transgo reprogramming kit.
i noticed the large spring .i guess its the 4th accum.piston spring. is broke in half! anyone know what causes this? or some symtoms of failure? it seemed no different the last time i drove it form when it was just rebuilt.
also anyone know the part number, and place where i can order a new.possibly better spring? thanx

what you need to watch is for damage to the acc piston and the other surfaces from the broken spring.

many of the TransGo kits have the acc spring in them for the OD.

This is a common item to break in the 700. Why ? I guess poor quaility springs.
