700r4 t/c question

Thanks a bunch for the help guys but I got another question. I'm going to get a new t/c and I'm not quit sure of the spline count. 30 on the input and 27 on the pump but which do you go by? I've read a lot of stuff, but I want to be sure. It's a 1988 K case. Also I'm thinking of getting it from Monster Trans. Have ya'll had any dealings with them?

spline count to determine converter is for input shaft.

Input shaft is the one that rotates.

the fixed shaft with splines in stator support.

i got a rebuild kit and t\c and a lock up kit from monster trans. everything was very professional and the parts are of very good quality, not the chintsy chinese stuff. would recommend them to anybody. oh, their converters are just a tad loose, but hit like a ton of bricks.
