700r4 tail shaft cracks / problem

:mad: i just picked up a 700r4 trans & i just noticed the tail shaft has little cracks on it. could i still run the trans like this?

you will have to put a seal in it so when its out look it over.If questionable replace it

your end shot photo clearly shows that tail housing is junk

I don't see any cracks in the tailshaft.

X2^^, Looks like the Slip Yoke put a beating on the Bushing and ovaled out the opening :pain:
