700r4 torque converter

Looking 4 some info on a performance converter I have a small block 406 running about 500 pony's need converter with lockup. Any info will be appreciated....

Contact TCI, tell them your combination, and they will recommened a convertor. That's what I did with my 700R4, pushing a 355. They were prompt and helpful, and most important, I am pleased with their suggestion. Ken

I have a PATC Power Raptor Lockup 5X with a 2800RPM stall behind a 406, but milder than yours. It's in an S10 that we take to cruise-ins, shows, and it's been to the strip twice. Converter works as advertised.
