700R4 Tranny Problem

I have an 85 Blazer 4X4 with a 700R4 that I recently changed the pan gasket and filter on. Prior to the change my truck was running good. But now that I've changed the filter, gasket and fluid the tranny has an intermittent chattering noise. The tranny shifts fine through all gears. However, when I'm driving the chattering occurs. Sounds like maybe the reverse gear is trying to drift into place while I'm in drive. How can I figure out what is wrong? And what can I do to fix it? I'm very limited on resources (not to many Chevy's in Germany).

see what answers u get
but i had a nissan quest van ( got it for removing a engine from something else)
It was fine for a month,I drove it
then i changed motor oil and
i changed trans filter,fluid
it looked dirty
lots of metal on magnet
i thought it was dirt(I never seen so many)
trans was gummy too(like grey tar on pan)
Maybe it was trans additive or something
It was like glue
I released the stuff (holding it together)
I had all kinds of problems then.(no reverse sometimes and out of first it would jerk and buck into second.
a senior mechanic told me if you get a vehicle that you know hasnt been serviced (transmission wise) in a while
If it shifts, just leave it alone.
do not change fluid in high mileage trans.
That sounded crazy to me before I let the fluid out of that nissan
what made u change the fluid ?
have you been changing it on a regular schedule ?

Sounds like a converter clutch chatter.

There is an electrical copnnector on the driver's side of the trannny near the shift linkage....... UN-plug this connector and test drive for the chatter problem.
