I guess I will reply to my own post as more of an update than anything else.
I changed the oil and filter today. There was quite a bit of gunk on the magnet for a tranny that has been run for 1000 k. It seems better now but I accidently overfilled it by approx 0.5 a quart. I know that this can do damage but is half a quart all that much of a problem?? |

a half a quart is not usually a problem.
It's possible that the recent "rebuild" was maybe just a "fix" and not all seals were changed. When old seals get cold, they just don't work too good. |
