i have an 86 chevy p/u with700r4 shifted flawless ran purfect fluid was black and burnt but shifted perfect. i changed fluid and filter now kind of often the trans shifts to early and will stay in high gear longer than usual before shifting down.sometimes kicks in and out of passing gear. i can get it to kick down by getting the throttle almost all the way to the floor.it seems like its changing gears to soon kicking in and out of passing gear. before fluid change it was perfect and drove ok sometimes in between. please help i am going crazy. thanks

You probably picked up some metal or trash in the governor. It is located on the driver's side and can be removed externally. Pop the cap off and you can pull the governor out and check it, also it may have slack in the shaft from wear, check for excessive play back and forth. Be sure to wipe out the area after you pull out the governor. When you pop the cap be gentle, the case is alum, and scores easy.
