Hemmi! Holy smokes, how the heck are ya!

I'd just fix it up and be happy cruising that beast. Probably turn it into a tow vehicle for whatever other car(s) you need to haul around.

LOL, I LOVE that stuff! What an awesome car. I had a 1978 Fleetwood Brougham back in the mid 80's and it would blow the doors off my wife's (at the time wife ) 68 Camaro RS. It blew it away in every way, handling, dragging, it was a much better car in every way, other than looks. And it only had a 425. I just love those big old cars.

I have to say that the 76 Convertible use to be worth a bit of coin when GM stopped making convertibles in the late 70's. Don't know what they are worth now that they started making them again the whole "last convertible" thing went out the window. But in the late seventies early eighties they were a big deal and worth quite a bit. Leaving that big hood alone and keeping the 500 cubic inches under it would be my choice. I painted one once, took FOUR people to pull that hood off or install it, that is a BIG hood!
