71 Chevy Rearends
71 chevy 4x4 rear ends
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Question? I have a 71 chevy pickup 4x4 with a dana 60 rear and a dana 44 front. Will a 4.10 rear gear work ok with a 4.09 Front gear. Normaly I no that you would want them the same, but i havent found any one that sells a 4.09 for a Dana 60. Please help me. It will work just fine. The normal acceptable range is that they need to be within 1%.
4.10*.01=.04 So the front end could be from 4.06 to 4.14 and still work fine.
