'72 to '70 EC Swap.

I have a '72 El Camino project car. I like the '70 EC front headlights better.

Can anyone here advise on switching the headlight bezels? Are they a fairly straight swap?

PS: I already asked this question on the El Camino board, but you'll die of old age before you get an answer there!

As long as you have all the parts, bezels, headlight pots, etc....

Also, you will need the extra wiring for the quad headlights....and, weren't the 72 parking lights up there too? In the 70, they are in the bumper...might need a bumper too.

Thanks Poncho.

You're right about the bumper. I can fabricate the dual headlight harness and extend the turn signal wiring to the bumper. I wasn't sure if the bezels would fit my '72 fenders. I saw somewhere that the '70 fenders were different from the '72, but it never explained what was different. As long as the bezels fits the front of the fender, I can work with the rest.
