72 C10 Mirror
I have 72 c10 and where the mirror stem mounts to the door got caught on a house at the car wash now the screws will not stay tight any idea how to fix??? :eek:

Molly fasteners are made in a very short length for sheet metal..fixed a lot of those truck mirrors in the past..

Riv nuts
In the factory They used riv- nuts, I saw them in Harbor freight , the good ones are carried by aircraft supply companies. An unapproved fix done in the factory was to bend a piece or 2 of 14 or 12 gage sollid copper wire in a minature U shape, slip it in the hole, one leg in and one out and then put the screws back in.
