Maybe a 500 was availible, but I think it was just a 472 in the Deville. Either way, they are very stout motors. IIRC, a 1970 472 made 525 lb. feet of torque! Some 500 Caddys made 565 lb. feet of torque. You can buy about any performance parts for them, and they don't weigh much more than a 350 Chevy.
