1st,,,check your grounds....Sounds like they are OK if your tail lights work......2nd...Broken wire somewhere....Start at the light and start checking for voltage on up the wires.......Its a pain, but the only way

Sounds like the turn signal switch is bad.The brake lite and turn signal BOTH have to pass through to get to the back.
You could have someone watch it while you manipulate the switch in a right turn posisition to see if it flickers when you do. That would indicate that is it melted or cracked and the contact is not functioning. |

I think they still used the copper ribbon type wire in that year. They were noted for breaking at places where there are curves and at the connector where it transitions from under the dash to the ribbon itself. Could also be corroded there.Start at the front with the turn switch. work your way towards the back untill you get to thepoint where you lose it. (check it with the turn signal on)
