'72 El Camino Headliner

After researching all the info I could find about replacing headliners in the archives and buying material, I now find that my '72 headliner isn't glued in!! It's got some kind of bow system.

Maybe that should be prominently noted somewhere!

Anyway, can you make these things, or do you have to buy them?

Signed,
Hot Under The Collar

I have only put in the backer board/ glue in style headliner myself. I imagine the bow style headliners could be made if you have the old one for a reference, materials and a sewing machine. Or...you could order one and save yourself a little frustration.

Thanks, 73. Good info. I think I'll just have to eat my losses to this point.

Anyone need two yards of black headliner cloth?????
