Post 72 Mustang

I'm currently replacing the whole drivetrain in my 72 Mustang. Right now, I have a 302 V8 with a cruisomatic transmission and an 8" rearend. I'm replacing the motor with a 347 stroker V8 (302), and the transmission with a TCI Streetfighter C-4. A new 9" rearend will replace the 8". TCI has told me I'll need a new bellhousing which fits a 164 flexplate. Will I need any modifications to the driveshaft? Did the cruisomatic come with a 164 tooth flywheel? Will the tranny crossmember need to be modified? Any info or help on these questions would be greatly appreciated.

A cruise-o-matic is a fancy name for a c4. you wont need to change the crossmember or driveshaft, and i believe 72 was the year they changed c4s from 157 to 164, so you shouldnt have to change the flywheel, and you can use the same bellhousing. You actually can use any combination of bellhousing/flexplate just as long as they were made for each other, itll bolt up to any c4.
