72 Nova Door Latch Assembly

The Door Latch Assembly on my 72 Nova does not work properly. It stays locked and we had to remove the door panel to get the door un-locked.

Does any body work on these or have instructions on what to look for and what might need to be replaced or rebuilt?

I can't seem to find anybody who sells the assembly for a 72 Nova. The 63-70 are available. I don't know what the difference is between 68-70 and 71-72 is.

Thank you for any info that can be passed on.

Found one on eBay for ya bro, but it looks pretty rough, may still work good and it may just need cleaning Nova Latch one thing you could do is visit their store and shoot them an e-mail. They claim to have all kinds of Nova parts for all years. One thing I would check is the Nader pin or post that is on the inside of the quarter panel. It has a little collar around it and sometimes it gets worn out and causes the claws of the latch to hang up. These post are interchangeable through several years.
