727 pushbutton linkage
looking into getting the right 727 torqueflite big block. Need to get linkage for the pushbutton controls as this will go into a 1958 Chrysler Imperial. Can I get the linkage off a car and attach to a newer (late 60-76) tranny, or was there a special bracket that was on the oldies? I'd really like to keep it pb. I know Lokar has a "through the floor" shifter, but pb is part of the charm that I want in my Imperial.
One question closer to the truth, jon |

Imperial Services offers conversions to run a late-model linkage with the push-button controls. I've never used them, but I hear they are extremely slow on the turnaround.
They don't list the shifter conversion on their Imperial page, but it is listed on the C-Body page, so you might give them a call. Imperial Services |
