727 Trans

Will any 727 trans bolt up to a mid 80's 225 cid slant 6 or are there different types , lengths , or bolt patterns ? I'm not to hip on mopar transmissions so any input would be of knowledge to me. Thanks in advance. .....CRAIG.....

Only slant six trany will bolt up, 727 slant six trany avb. in truck or van only, 904 is most comon behind slant six. Good Luck. J.F.

After a half day search I found this.....

727-A small block
727-B big block
727-rg 6 cyl.

904-A ???
904-rg ???

My question now is......Would any of these numbers & letters
be stamped or cast into the bell housing ?
