73 firebird rearend swap,what years will fit?
I need to find a new rear for my 73 firebird that im rebuilding..my Question is what years will fit ,any up to 80? Im sure its a simple answer for a lot of you
 Thanks in advance or would i be better off rebuilding my rear.. it worked fine but is no posi as car is an esprit well was Its going to be much more,have it apart to subframe and blasting all paint and what little rust there is ... im sure i will have a Question about takeing the subframe off soon Thanks Martin

The 72 Firebird rear axle was a little wider than the Camaro, so that rules out Camaros.

I can't remeber what year the Camaro/Firbirds went to 8.5" 10 bolts? Can anyone?

All '71-'81 had the 8.5. I don't know about '70, but the 12-bolt was available that year.
