73 Mercury Marquis Engine Swap oil pan

HI,

One of my friend are about to swap a 351W (1980) in a 73 Mercury marquis. Does anybody know what oil pan I can put there (at least 5 or 6 quarts)

Thanks in advance, stephane

Hi
The 5.8 was an option engine for the 73 marque so look at the pan that came with the replacement W; it may be the same. If not, just go to the store & order the correct one.

Milodon used to make stock replacement pans with slightly more capacity and much thicker metal and reinforced corners. I seem to remember 6 Litres was the standard capacity of their aftermarket stock replacement pans, great quality and nice gold finish too.

They weren't that expensive compared to factory replacement pans either, check em out.
