Want the gasser look on my 73 Nova, what would be the best way to raise it 2-3 inches all around, its has a 700 R right now, but think I will put a 4 speed in, if I can't sell it or trade it.
In the rear, re-arched springs/new high arch springs are the only correct way to do it, .....or remove the underslung spring perch on axle and weld on a topside spring perch(but this will result in more like a 5-6" lift).
Do not use long shackles, or air shocks, both are terrible handling.
Gasser look up front, only real correct looking way is a straight axle kit, like sold by Speedway Motors, unless you want to mess around with a 1940's-50's Car or Truck I-beam axle, or a 60's Econoline truck/van front I-beam axle.
You could get into the "Donk" crowd and use spindle/ball joint extenders up front, but it gets pretty goofy looking, and handles like crap.
