If you had a blown head gasket, cracked head or block, you would have coolant in the engine oil, not the other way around.

Drain the radiator, flush with a good coolant system cleaner, refill with straight water, drive, re-check for oil in the cooling system.

that's what I was thinking! I'm flushing it asap and putting an external trans cooler on and checking the trans fluid today.
