Question 74 Blazer Rear End Questions

Hello Everyone I'm Swoo. Also very new here.

I'm a '74 Blazer student looking to learn what I can about the Truck I'm about to buy...and I'd like to ask alot of questions to learn these things.
I'm looking at buying a '74 K5 Blazer and it has a 14 Bolt Ford rear end with the 8 or 9 lug wheels.
It has the 3 SPD Trans and I'm not sure which Transfer Case but It might be a 205.

I'm looking to run with 33"tires and I'd like to know the best set up to put back into it make it a GM again.
Is the GM 12 bolt rear end set up with Positraction and a 4SPD Trans with a 205 Transfer case the right stuff? I'd love to learn the in's and out's of it.
If you know please let me know.
Thanks
Swoo

Your best bet would be to buy a parts truck with all the stuff you need. The stock axles for your Blazer has 6 lugs. Anything from 73 to about 86 is the same, I believe.
