Post 74 olds 455 little line on fuel pump

put 455 in 84 regal an theres only one line from tank going to pump in regal. on donor car was fat line and skinny line. caped off little line on pump and motor runs. do i need little line hooked up. thanks tony

The reason for the small line is to make sure there is a constant motion of fuel so that the motor dosen't vapor lock. Especially, if your setup has A/C. If it was me, I'd get some 1/4" copper tubing and run it along the frame from the fuel tank to the motor. Incidently, I installed a 455 in a 81 Cutlass and thats alot of motor that generates heat...yes, I hooked up my fuel return line and all is well in my world. Good luck
