'75 Lincoln Continental town car?

I pulled the 4bbl 460/C6 out of a '75 Lincoln somthing or other today for my scratch built. Only good 2wd big block anything in the junk yard.. The car was listed as a Continental, was a 4dr hardtop with the opera windows and the rotating headlights. untouched car, and had a 2010 inspection sticker that expired in march 2010. seemingly well taken care of like it was grandma's only car.... But what got me is it had Continental badges on the rear quarters, and Town car badges on the front fenders. Town car badge on the dash and Continental sill plates.. It looked to have an honest 50k miles on it which the odo showed.. Except it looked like grandma went off road 1 day and that's why it's in the junkyard.. fuel tank is gashed open, dented driveshaft and the trans pan has a dent. but no big damage to the drivetrain which is why I pulled it..

I'v heard of Lincolns putting out some major goof ups in those years, but could this be 1 of them? I'v never been into lincolns

Pretty sure all Lincolns of that era had the Continental somewhere on them.

Continental, Town Car
Continental, Town Coupe
Continental, Mark V

etc.

Not sure about a '75 but for some years but I think Lincoln had a town car package on top of the regular Continental nameplate.

You may want to go back an look at that 9in again. It may be a factory disc brake unit!

it was drum brake. If it had discs, I woulda had the yard guy that torched the crossmember for me torch the rear out. But it was a drum brake 9" with most likely a 2. somthing rear.. axle code was 2 IIRC
