750 double pumper or 650 Vacuum

Please help! I had a mean 383 stroker build with all the groceries. i.e AFR Alu. 202 Heads, airgap intake, KB Pistons etc. The guys at the V8 shop in Johannesburg sold me a 650 Vacuum carburator. However I am not sure if this is the correct carb for this engine. please advise.

Secondly when accelerating there is a dead spot and the engine wants to cut out so you have to ease off. Also when accellerating hard the engine runs out of gas - this must be the electric fuel pump. it is a Hardy high volume electric pump. In SA I don't think they really care what they sell you as long as they make a sale. (Sorry to say that) is there anyone who care to give me some advise

750 vacuum if the converter is 3000 stall or less. 750 double pumper if the stall is over 3000 or the car is manual shift.
Tee off at the carb inlet and run a line outside to the cowl just in front of the windshield. Mount a fuel pressure gauge on the cowl. (You don't want to run a fuel line inside the car). Monitor the fuel pressure through the windshield as you accelerate. You want max 5 lbs, min 3-4 lbs at all times. If you're getting less than the min, check lines for kinks, check fuel filter for clogging before changing the pump out for one that works better.
