76 caddy to air ride??? school me.
i may just end up pickin up that ole 76 caddy. I have an airbagit full suspension kit that i bought for a totally different project.
Dont know a ton about it but it cost me decent green....has 1/2 inch lines....a digital box that works seperate settings and is a complete kit. Lol
can you use these kits for basically any car? Or will it bein a caddy will i have to buy special bags or adaptors for it?
i want the caddy to be able to almost drag the ground.
Ill get my exact kit number but wat kinda mods do you need to do so yer car will almost drag the ground? Is the kits pretty much easy or are there lots of fabbing? Tnx...HG

Gm engineering,
Most of the GM chassis engineering was done by the same
guys, Find a bagged Chevy and look it over carefully and see what you will have to modify. I have modified a truck kit to fit a different year, I make different brackets. I got a rear kit , unused for $ 150. so it was worth my time.

i saw a guy doing a air ride change on a caddy and he had the replacement struts with wat looked like built in bags.
Just wondered if those were wat i had to use or is it just an option.
I have like a 1200 kit from that has all the 1/2 inch lines.....tank...switches...bags and a computer setup. Just wondered if it will work on it??? RR

Is the Caddy an Eldo or a RWD? The Eldo uses a torsion bar front suspension to clear the front driveshafts and adapting an air suspension will be a lot more work than for a RWD car.

Just call Airbagit and ask them, they will be able to tell you if your kit is strong enough for the weight of your car, if it is just a matter of swapping a few adapters...

I may be able to help you here. your Air bag it kit.. is i personally feel the biggest problem you have. I've been doing air ride for the better part of 15 years. ( i know that means nothing on the web lol) but I've never had a quality product from AIM aka your probably going to be much happier with a kit consisting of quality built parts. i only sell and install parts from major name companies.

Sell your AIM kit and put that money towards better parts and you should be able to install the air ride and never touch it for years.

My Malibu has been bagged for 10 years. I've only replaced the compressors. and i just did that. If you have any questions feel free to PM me and ill give you my number i can answer any questions you have over the phone and well get your caddy down where it belongs.
