hey thanks for all replies. i just want a daily driver with a manual transmission. i will see how the conversion goes im sure i will have more questions once i start on the project.

Trans crossmember is probably different.

It is on the 79 models-----4-spd mount is much lower than the auto.

Sorry-I dont. have a pic---and my truck is too damn low to crawl under.

hey i finally got the tranny and t-case (a SM465 tranny and a NP-205 T-case) i was wondering what year bellhousing will fit. also there is a small crack on top of the tranny where the top cover bolts on i was wondering if I can still use it or is the tranny junk?

well i finally got everything together and works great. now im just waiting for some snow to buck. I have one question my Blazer never came with lockouts but my old man has a junked 85 chevy 1/2 ton 4x4 with manual lockouts. will they work or does a guy have to change the front end out.

They will work, but you either have to leave your transfer case in lock, or install a part in the case that makes it drive to the rear wheels only when not in lock. Not worth it in my opinion.

Well i changed the t-case to a NP205 so i sont have to worry about that
