My '75 K25 came stock with the TH-350, which surprised me when I first discovered it. I later on came across a web site that explained that the TH-350 was the right transmission for my truck, even though it was an 8200 GVW camper special.
Based on the info from http://www.chuckschevytruckpages.com/73-87specs.html the C-20 would also have a TH-350 in '76. Bruce |

I have seen, worked on, and owned, enough of this series of GM's trucks to know it could have been equipped from the factory with either the TH-350 or 400 for the automatic models, and the 3-on-the-tree Saginaw, OR the SM-465 for the manual transmissions.
Those four transmissions were the main ones available from 1973 to 1980, and the saginaw was the only one not used in 4WD. The others were in 1/2, 3/4 and 1 ton models, aside from the TH-350 not available in 1-ton the others were used widely across the truck line. |
