Not sure what special Seals He would be talking about.
What Rear does the Nova have? 7.5" or 8.5" 10-Bolt?

Hopefully you have the corporate 10-bolt 8.5" diff in your Nova. If you do, the rear end is sufficiently strong for most any street driven combo w/a good set of 30 spline axles and a posi carrier like from Eaton.

If you find that yours is a 7.5", you can use a 8.5" from a 1975-'79 Nova or the 1971-'81 Camaro/Firebird. The Pontiac T/A came w/a posi but the ratio might not be what you want and the carrier can be a 2-series. Also be sure the diff you choose is a 3-series if you plan on a performance ratio. The 8.5" corporate rear end uses a 2-series differential for 2.41 and 2.56 gears and a 3-series differential for 2.73 and lower (higher numerically) ratios.
