not as common as the tbi and tpi ecm's , but not really rare to us.

ok thanks because i have never heard of Typhoon and cyclones and when i looked them up they are turbo charged and only made for a couple years

as far as the vehicle go, yes, the production count is not real high, oem man's have to balance the fuel mileage amongst all of their models for a year, and building too many gas hogs would kill their average. Some folks I think, use those ecm's to fuel inject forced induction vehicles, since the programming for boost is already in there.

yea thats why i wanted to know what that was because i heard changing out the ECM is better then adding a "bandaid" to trick the stock ECM

your approach is correct. we have, however, written special programming, and modify the stock ecm's to run up to 15# boost, all self-contained-yours is the easy way, if you don't need to keep stock ecm. One box solution is the only way to go.
