79 firebird

i need to know everything about a 79 firebird with a 301 v8 and automatic things like gear ratio in the 10 bolt tranny type approx horse with a 4 barrel rochester quadrajet with velocity stack 2", and if a 400 will fit in it

its also making a clicking nosie after hittin lik 140 and then theres a extreem loss of power could it be oiling or what? its on the passenger bank that the noise mostly comes from but when warm it rips but after high rpm it lack power massivly
