79 Grand Prix

Hello My name is L.D i have a 1979 Grand Prix but not the original engine i have some numbers off the engine which consist of 12S151269, also V0719CKB and also DOC R 902 i was wondering if their was any way to run these numbers so i can find out what the engine came out of. Thank You

Is this a chevy engine? If so you need to double check the numbers as chevy casting numbers are difficult to read correctly. I can't seem to find any matches for any of the numbers.

I need the number from the back by the distributor down by where the bell-housing bolts to the engine.

Nothing. I don't remember there being any letters in gm castings. Where are you getting these codes from?

That is an intake for a chevy 350 with a q-jet carb.

That number is for an intake manifold off a 1971 chevy 350 with a q-jet carb.

Not necessarily, it could be any small block chevy engine. A 283, 302, 305, 327, 350, 400, etc. All sbc engines use the same kind of intake.

ok im bout 80 percent sure its a 305 lol but how do i go bout finding the rite starter for it
